Paperwhite Narcissus

Autumn Bedroom Bulb Flowers
admin March 24, 2026 23 min read

Paperwhite narcissus is the wonderfully fragrant “winter daffodil” many people grow indoors for a little burst of spring when it’s still cold outside. It’s a bulb-forming Narcissus with upright stems and clusters of small, starry blooms—most often white with a tiny cup—filling a room with perfume. Outdoors it behaves like a perennial bulb in mild climates, but it’s most famous as an easy seasonal display plant: set bulbs in a pot or a shallow bowl with pebbles and water, give them bright light and cool air, and you’ll often get flowers in about 4–6 weeks.
