Morning glory is a cheerful, fast-growing twining vine loved for its classic trumpet-shaped blooms that unfurl in the cool of the morning and often close by afternoon. Its heart-shaped green leaves make a lush backdrop for flowers in vivid shades—most famously blues and purples, but also pink, red, magenta, and white—often with a paler throat. In one season it can quickly turn a fence, trellis, or arch into a living curtain of color, with fresh flowers appearing day after day.

Scientific Name Ipomoea purpurea
