Lady’s Slipper Orchid

Autumn Bedroom Family & Genus
admin March 24, 2026 6 min read

Lady’s Slipper Orchids (Paphiopedilum) are beloved for their bold, long-lasting blooms, each featuring a signature pouch-like lip that really does resemble a tiny slipper. Even between flowering cycles, they stay decorative thanks to their fan of strap-shaped leaves—often beautifully mottled. Many of the plants commonly sold as houseplants are hybrids bred to be showier and more forgiving indoors than a lot of wild species.
