Jelly Bean Plant (Sedum rubrotinctum) is a tough, beginner-friendly succulent from Mexico, loved for its plump, glossy, bean-shaped leaves. In lower light it stays greener, but give it strong sun (especially warm days paired with cooler nights) and the leaf tips—and often the whole plant—flush coppery red to reddish-brown. It forms a low mound that can trail and sprawl with age, and it’s famously easy to propagate: fallen leaves and small cuttings readily root to make new plants. Keep it bright, warm, and on the dry side, especially in winter, when it may reward you with small, starry yellow flowers.
