Harlequin glorybower is a tough, deciduous shrub (sometimes trained as a small tree) loved for its extra-long show season: clusters of sweetly fragrant, starry white flowers with dramatic, protruding stamens are followed by jewel-like turquoise to deep blue fruits that sit in a rosy-pink to purple calyx. It’s an easy, adaptable ornamental that looks great in mixed borders and also earns bonus points for being wildlife-friendly.
