Edible corydalis (Corydalis edulis) is a charming annual wildflower with soft, grey-green, finely divided leaves and light, airy clusters of pink to purplish-red blooms that show up in early spring. It’s an easy plant to fall for in beds, borders, or pots—just remember it looks its best when the soil stays evenly moist (not soggy, but never bone-dry). After flowering, it forms slender, often drooping seed pods that add a delicate, wispy look to the plant as it finishes its season.

Typically found on hillsides, along gullies/ditches, and in rocky ground.
