Coral Bells

Child Safe Family & Genus Flowering Plants

Coral Bells are charming, clump-forming perennials best known for their “paint-palette” foliage—lush rosettes of rounded to heart-shaped leaves that can be green, purple, burgundy, silver, chartreuse, orange, or even multicolored with striking veins and ruffled edges. In late spring into summer, wiry stems rise above the leaves and carry airy sprays of tiny bell-shaped blooms (often coral-red, but also pink, white, or cream) that sway gracefully and are a favorite of hummingbirds. They’re a classic choice for shade gardens, woodland edges, containers, and the front of mixed borders—easygoing, colorful, and handsome for much of the year.
