Oriental water plantain is a charming perennial wetland plant that grows as a bold clump of upright, emergent leaves rooted in muddy soil. In summer it sends up tall, airy, branched flower stalks dotted with lots of tiny blooms—usually white to pale pink—making it a classic, easygoing choice for the shallow edges of ponds, bog gardens, and water features.
