Chinese abelia is a graceful, deciduous, many-branched shrub loved for its arching, flexible stems and its late-season floral show. From early autumn into late autumn, it produces clusters of small, funnel-shaped, sweetly fragrant blooms—usually white, sometimes softly blushed pink. It’s a wonderfully forgiving landscape plant that can be used as a relaxed, natural-looking shrub, mass-planted for a cloud of flowers, or clipped into a neat flowering hedge.
