Creeping phlox is a cheerful, low-growing perennial that spreads into dense, mossy-looking carpets of needle-like leaves. In spring, the tips of its many branching stems burst into clusters of small, five-petaled blooms—often creating that classic “flower carpet” effect in gardens and along sunny slopes.
