Swiss Cheese Vine (Monstera adansonii) is a charming tropical aroid loved for its glossy green, heart-to-oval leaves sprinkled with natural holes (fenestrations) that look like Swiss cheese. It’s a fast, friendly grower that can either climb with support (thanks to its aerial roots) or spill gracefully from a hanging basket, instantly giving a room that easy rainforest vibe. Young plants start with mostly solid leaves, and the signature holes become more dramatic as the plant matures—especially in brighter, indirect light.
